Founder member of The Original Jukebox Heroes, bass guitarist and vocalist,
Jeff Brown
has a career spanning over 30 years. He spent 16 years with glam rockers, Sweet and was with 60’s
beat group, The Tremeloes for 11 years. He is currently bass player for brand new band Cats in
Space who have celebrated great success on the live circuit and have released two studio
albums to date. He has an impressive vocal range and is a very versatile bass guitarist. The
archetypal front man with passion & presence, Jeff puts the ‘ROCK’ in Glam Rock! Delivering
all the Sweet classics in the set including, Blockbuster, Ballroom blitz, Fox on the run, Love is
like oxygen and Teenage rampage, you will be blown away by Jeff’s powerful voice and a range
that defies human hearing!
Steve Whalley
took over the job as front man with Slade after Noddy Holder hung up his
platform shoes; very difficult shoes to fill indeed but for 15 years Steve toured the world with
Slade and made the gig his own. With his soulful, blues rock voice he gave Slade a distinctive
sound that took the band into the 21st century, He plays guitar with The Original Jukebox
Heroes and lends his unique voice to all the Slade numbers including Cum on feel the noize,
Mama weer all crazee now, My friend, Stan, Far far away and My oh my.
Guitarist, Phil Hendriks had chart success in the eighties with pop punk band, The Stiffs.
The band still appears at punk and rock festivals all over Europe to this day.
He currently plays with Les McKeown’s Bay City Rollers and has transformed the sound and
given it an edge that keeps it rolling on... A fantastic, sparkling addition to the Original Jukebox
Heroes line-up with his inimitable guitar playing style and a voice he can lend to a cheesy pop
song like Bye bye baby or hard edge rock number like The Glitter Band’s Angel face, Phil also
sings The Bay City Roller’s S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. Night and The Hello classic, Tell him.
Philip Wright,
original singer and drummer for Paper Lace provides vocals and additional
percussion for the Original Jukebox Heroes with his uniquely crafted drum kit assembly and
illuminated, colour-changing drumsticks!
Philip had Global hits in the 1970s with Billy don’t be a hero, The Night Chicago died and
Hitchin’ a ride. Forty years on, Philip’s voice is still as strong as it ever was and he hops onto
the drum kit to treat the set to a medley of these well-loved classics.
Pete Phipps
is the powerhouse behind the band. Pete is the original drummer with The Glitter
Band, however his career has also included playing sessions and touring with many big name
acts including, The Eurythmics, Sweet, XTC and Mud. Pete is a very accomplished musician
and as well as keeping beat on the drums, Pete plays acoustic guitar with The Original Jukebox
Heroes and also sings The Glitter Band classic hit, Goodbye my love.
Keyboard player,
Dave Major
has performed with T-Rex since percussionist Mickey Finn
reformed the band as a lasting tribute to Marc Bolan, He has also recently completed a tour
with The rock musical, Vampire rocks. His infectious smile and fun stage antics make him fun
to watch and his playing packs out The Original Jukebox Heroes’ sound, bringing the music
together. Dave sings the T-Rex number one hit, Hot love in the show, a firm sing-a-long
favourite with the audience.
